JointDraft

For researchers writing papers in LaTeX

Your coauthors’ edits, straight into your LaTeX.

Send one link instead of a PDF. Coauthors suggest changes on the exact words, and you accept each one with a click.

Free with up to 3 collaborators per project. No card needed.

How it works

  1. Start your paper

Pick the NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL or CVPR template, start blank, or import a zip of your project. It compiles in your browser as you write.

  2. Send one link

Share a link or invite by email, and choose whether each person can edit, comment or only read.

  3. Accept what you want

Each suggestion sits on the exact words, with a name on it. Accept or reject it in one click. Every save stays in the history, so you can restore an earlier version.

Bring the AI you already pay for.

Claude Code, Codex or any agent that speaks MCP connects to your project with your sign-in. It reads the paper and leaves suggestions and comments credited to it, like Alex via Claude Code, that wait for your yes like anyone else’s.

It runs on your own subscription, so the AI costs nothing extra here. Revoke it in Settings and it’s cut off at once.

Before you switch

Is it live, like Google Docs?
Not yet. Edits merge when each person saves, which happens a couple of seconds after they stop typing. Two people can work on the same file and both sets of edits are kept.
What doesn’t compile?
The compiler is pdfLaTeX with BibTeX. XeLaTeX, LuaLaTeX and Biber don’t run here yet; biblatex works with backend=bibtex. A compile that runs past 60 seconds is stopped.
Can I take my paper elsewhere?
Yes. Download the PDF or the whole project as a zip whenever you like.

Send your next draft as a link, not a PDF.
